James L. "Jim" Czerkowicz

1949 - 2021

UXBRIDGE - James "Jim" L. Czerkowicz, age 71, of Uxbridge passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 after a long illness. He was the husband of Patricia J. (Hayes) Czerlowicz. They met in 1973 while working for New England Telephone. They married in 1975 and moved across the country twice before settling back in Massachusetts to raise their three children.

Mr. Czerkowicz was a training manager for Verizon for 32 years before retiring in 2004.

Jim was born September 26, 1949 in Woonsocket, RI the son of the late Leo and Irene (Mucha) Czerkowicz. He graduated from Mount St. Charles Academy and served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam Era.

Jim was a loyal New England sports fan. He enjoyed bird watching and caring for his pets. He enjoyed movies and listening to live music. Jim was also an avid reader. In recent years, he took great pleasure in his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his children, John M. Czerkowicz and his wife Julie of Wakefield, James M. Czerkowicz and his wife Lauren of Mattapoisett, and Sarah E. Poulin and her husband Tyler of Lincoln, RI; five grandchildren; Jack, Nora, Henry, Thomas and Benjamin Czerkowicz; a brother, Michael Czerkowicz and his wife Kim of Blackstone; two sisters, Mary O'Connor and her husband Stephen of Norton and Kathleen Donovan and her husband Michael of Falmouth.
