Janice F. Gauthier

SMITHFIELD - Janice F. (Ferschke) Gauthier, 71, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Gauthier. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Gerard and Florence (Bourgeois) Ferschke. Janice was a food service worker at Bryant University for Sodexo before retiring. She loved to sew and do all kinds of crafts. She loved animals, especially her fur baby Maggie Mae and her grand fur babies. She also loved to watch her grandson Kyle and great-nephew Corey play hockey. Most of all she loved her family and friends.

She was the loving mother of Karen McKeon and her husband Christopher, with whom she lived in Smithfield, Scott Gauthier and his wife Cheryl and their son Kyle of Smithfield, and Renee Casey and her husband John of Warwick. She was the sister of Robert Ferschke of N. Smithfield, Normand Ferschke of Woonsocket, Donald Ferschke of Woonsocket, Mark Ferschke of Johnston, Michael Ferschke of Maryvillem TX, Carol Larivee of Woonsocket, France Cote of Greenville, RI, Christine Boulanger of Savannah, GA and the late Denis Ferschke, Lucille Carrigan, Jacqueline Bradley and Suzanne Rattie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Home, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 9-10:30am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Michael Church, Smithfield. Inurnment will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, in honor of her favorite Saint, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101 will be appreciated.
