Jay J. Coutu

WOONSOCKET - Jay J. Coutu, 50, of Woonsocket died Thursday February 1, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the loving husband of Tina M. (Marston) Coutu. They were married on February 15, 1992.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Doris Coutu. He was a resident of the city for most of his life.
In his younger years Jay worked for Hasbro Toys and at LG Products in Bellingham. He was employed by Petro Oil Company for over 25 years.
As an avid deep sea fisherman, Jay found true solace when he was on the sea. He also enjoyed playing pool.
Jay will be remembered for his devotion to his family and friends and his positive outlook on life despite his illness.
In addition to his wife Tina, Jay is survived by their three children Krystyna, Amanda and Nicole Coutu all of Woonsocket. His two grandchildren Ethan Courtemanche and Julianna DiSano. He was the brother of Sandra Lemoine, Jodie Coutu and Diane Borges and uncle of Sandra Jeanne Lefebvre and Andrea Borges.
Visiting hours will be Saturday February 10th from 2-5 pm in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. At the request of the family please omit flowers. www.menardfuneralhome.com
