John DeCataldo Obituary
Besides his wife he leaves four sons, John DeCataldo III and his wife Mary of Charlestown, Daniel DeCataldo and his wife Suzanne of South Kingstown, Louis DeCataldo and his wife Sheryl of Sturbridge, MA, and Paul DeCataldo and his wife Rachael of North Smithfield; three daughters, Christine Theis and her husband Todd of Davenport, IA, Angela Pugliese and her husband Craig of North Smithfield, and Maria Politis and her husband Philip of Plymouth, MA, a brother Angelo DeCataldo of East Providence, and two sisters Frances Norton of Johnston, and Rose Angolano of Warwick, and nineteen grandchildren.
A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Family Church followed by a private burial in St. John's Cemetery in Slatersville.

No words could ever express the sadness we feel for the loss of your dear John. As true a Husband and family man as anyone could ever dream to be, Your John was the best.
His sense of humor and charismatic way made him a standout to all who knew him. We have all been blessed with his presence.
His soul is now in the presence of the Lord in a glorious celebration.
Praying that his legacy continues to be joyous of the gifts they inherited .
May God grant you comfort in todays sorrows, and peace for the days to come.

I have been doing mortgages for thirty years and have had the pleasure of dealing with several of my Uncle John's former students. Every one of them would inevitably say the he was the best teacher they ever had. I never had him as a teacher, but I can attest that he was the best uncle I ever had. I will miss him. My love to Aunt Cathy and the entire clan.

A great uncle to me. And great to his parents, siblings, wife, children and grands.
Funny guy; always told incredibly hysterical stories.
So happy that you all got to be with Uncle Johnny before he passed.
