John T. Marcil

WOONSOCKET - John T. Marcil Jr. 47, of Mowry St. died, Saturday, November 24, 2018 after a brief illness with his family by his side.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the beloved son of John Tommy and Constance (Abbott) Marcil Sr. of Woonsocket, RI. John was a lifelong city resident and member of the Woonsocket High School Class of 1988. John had worked as a Central Officer of Installation for Verizon for nearly 20 years.
He was a proud member of IBEW Union #2325. John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces who affectionately called him UJ, and with whom he loved to take shopping. A kid at heart, he never lost his love of movies and playing video games.
Besides his father Tommy and mother Connie, he is survived by a loving brother, Jeffrey Marcil and his wife Lindsay of Norfolk, MA. Three nieces, Abigail (Marcil) Larson, Piper Marcil and Alexandra Marcil. Two great nieces, Annabelle and Ella Larson. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. With a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4-7 PM. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone, MA and will be private.
