John McArthur Obituary

WOONSOCKET - John W. McArthur, 61 died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at home after a long illness.

Born in Warsaw, N.Y. to the late Donald and Elaine (Doll) McArthur, he was the beloved husband of Gail (Gemme) McArthur.
Besides his wife Gail, he is survived by his stepdaughter Jamie Malone of Dorchester, Mass.; one brother, Donald, of Oswego, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

John was a graduate of Eastern Connecticut College. He worked for Montgomery Watson as a construction manager in Hartford, Conn. until his retirement.

John was an avid golfer. He enjoyed traveling, visiting zoos, and his two cats.

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are on Thursday, July 6, from 5 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Cat Santuary, 266 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895 would be appreciated.
