John McHale Obituary
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Jack and Laura (Tellier) McHale.
John was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was a Cumberland firefighter and police officer for several years before going back to school. He earned a bachelor's degree from Brown University, and later a master's degree Sussex University. He then worked as a medical tester for the state of Rhode Island for over 35 years before retiring. He also managed the Cumberland Little League and Pee Wee Football for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Thomas McHale of Harrisville, Patricia Kanner and her husband Russell of Orlando, Fla., and Kevin McHale of Cumberland; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Funeral and burial will be private.
