John Moran Obituary
John was a graduate of St. Raphael's Academy and worked as a distributor in the food service industry. He was a former member of St. Mary's CYO in Pawtucket and of the Pawtucket Boys Club. He also was an usher at the Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul. John was a sports enthusiast, following the Providence and Boston Bruins, the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots.
He is survived by two sisters, Dolores V. Moran of Greenville and Marilyn A. Iyar of Florida.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary's Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities, One Cathedral Square, Providence, RI 02903.

I was a classmate of John at SRA. What I remember about him was that he was a gentleman with a wonderful manner. He had a good wit and a kind and friendly disposition. I liked him. John was a good guy. He will be missed and I am grateful that I knew him.
