Jonathan Demers Obituary
He is survived by his son, Jonathan D. Demers Jr. of Mapleville; three daughters: Brittney Demers of Warwick, Samantha Demers and Gabrielle Demers, both of Mapleville; his fiancé, Melissa Hahn; his brother, Keith T. Demers of Oakland and his grandson, Isaac.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jonathan on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 11 AM in Our Lady of Good Help Church, 1063 Victory Hwy, Mapleville. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 PM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Social distancing guidelines will be implemented upon your arrival. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.

I'm saddened to find this out years after the fact. We met while working together on a Fiber to the Hut FTTH project. I was working for VZW and Jon at Cox. We walked a ton of sites together and became friends. Then he helped me get a position at Cox when my VZW contact ran out. We became much closer working in the same office together. Jon was and always will be near and dear to my heart. I'm upset with myself that we lost touch after I left Cox Communications and moved up north for a job I couldn't refuse. He was a dear friend and I miss him.

In the loving memory of Jon who was a coworker at Cox and all around a great person. His e-mail signature stated "If there is room for Improvement, Then GOOD is not Enough!" This inspired me to be a better person. He was always kind and my deepest sympathy to his family and friends. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Praying for your courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to hold in your heart.

I had the pleasure of working with Jonathan at Cox for many years. Jon was a wealth of knowledge and shared it with great pleasure. Jon also reminded me of a man I called Uncle when I grew up with out a father. He had the same character, integrity, and work ethic I truly admired. I had mixed feelings of him retiring. I was really going to miss him around at work but I was happy for him because he was able to spend time enjoy his life outside of work and with his family. I pray for his family to get through this time. Jon was a great man and will be terribly missed. So sorry for your loss Demers family.

As long as I can remember, Jon has always been my brother's best friend. He was always kind... even to his best friend's annoying little sister. He will be missed dearly. Here's a picture of us when he surprised me by coming to one of my band's gigs at Cady's. I was so thrilled to see him and happy to have this picture of a great memory.
