Kenneth Flanagan Obituary
Kenneth was a dedicated Law Enforcement Officer for the state of Rhode Island for 34 years. First with the Department of Environmental Management, Division of Enforcement for 23 years in which he climbed the ranks to Sergeant and then continued his career with the State of Rhode Island as a Deputy Sheriff for 11 years before retiring in 2003.
Besides his loving wife of 54 years Jeannette, he is survived by his son Michael Flanagan and his wife Laura, his daughter Linda DiChristofaro and her husband Jeff, his daughter Christine Flanagan and her companion Peter Reynolds. He was the beloved grandfather of five grandchildren, Andrew Flanagan, Kirstin Flanagan-Sanchez, Matthew DiChristofaro, Ashley DiChristofaro and Alexis DiChristofaro. He is also survived by a brother, Edmund Flanagan and was the bother of the late Norman Flanagan. Kenneth also leaves his beloved dog Bella.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick, RI. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 2 at 9:00 AM at SS John & Paul Church, 341 Main St., Coventry, followed by committal at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Guests to report directly to church.
In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. John and Paul Church, Coventry, or Father John V Doyle School, Coventry.
