Kenneth D. Moore

ATTLEBORO - Kenneth D. Moore, 73, of Attleboro, passed away peaceful on Friday, May 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on August 28, 1943 in Pawtucket, RI and was a son of the late Kenneth and Jeannette (Duhamel) Moore. He graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and The Arthur Angelo Hair School.
He married Madeleine Lamarre on September 5th 1965 and started his family in Pawtucket, RI before moving to South Attleboro, MA.
Ken began his career at Kornstein's and also worked at The Blaine Hair Salon.
He started his business The Kenneth Hair Salon in North Attleboro in 1969 and successfully operated it for forty years until he sold it in 2009. He retired several years later.
Ken was on the board of directors for Tri-County Trade School from 1977 through 1980. He helped introduce the first body wave hair style as a platform artist for Breck in the 1960's. He played trumpet in the Darlington Teens and was an artist throughout his life. Ken was very active in the Attleboro community.
He is survived by his three sons and their wives, Gregory and Melissa, Kevin and Kathleen and Christopher and Patricia as well as 4 grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie, Aiden and Aron.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 4 - 8 pm in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St. Attleboro.
A funeral will be conducted on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, 105 Stanley Street, North Attleboro.
Burial will be privately held at a later date.
