Leo A. Pelletier

1933 - 2015

MAGNOLIA, DE - Leo A. Pelletier, 82, of Magnolia, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at home with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband for 58 years of Rachel N. (Poisson) Pelletier. Born in Woonsocket, RI on June 1, 1933, he is the son of the late Alfred and Yvonne (Lataille) Pelletier. He is the loving father of Daniel Pelletier of Grand Junction, CO, Debora Clark and her husband, Richard of Norfolk, MA, Donna Mitchell of Magnolia, DE, Dorene Walton and her husband, Bruce of Magnolia, DE, and the late David Pelletier. He leaves his cherished 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is the brother of Ernest Pelletier and his wife, Carol of Bellingham and Doris Brien of Woonsocket, RI.
Leo was a resident of Magnolia, DE for 6 years formerly of Bellingham, MA where he was raised and a graduate of Bellingham High School. He worked as a calibration specialist at Raytheon in Norwood, MA and Essco in Chelmsford, MA until retiring. Leo also operated Pell Gas in Bellingham for many years and was known as the "Gas Man".
Leo was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal, he then served in the Army Reserve.
He was an avid card player and loved his computers. Devoted to his family, Leo will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 14th at 10:00AM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Road, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Sunday, December 13th from 4 to 7PM.
