Leonora Monteiro

PAWTUCKET - Leonora (Miguel) Monteiro, 91, of Pawtucket died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Alfredo Monteiro.
Born in Bristol, a daughter of the late Elidio and Georgina (Rainha) Miguel, she had lived in Pawtucket for most of her life.
Mrs. Monteiro was employed at the former American Insulated Wire Company, Pawtucket for 26 years before retiring in 1985.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, Pawtucket.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph J. Monteiro and his wife, Susan of Pawtucket and Alfred Monteiro, Jr. and his wife, Jeanie of Marriottsville, MD; one sister, Ismenia Bernardo and her husband, José of Seekonk, MA; three grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John M. Monteiro.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, April 23 at 8:45 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Anthony's Church, 32 Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket.
