Louise Heroux Obituary

Louise M. Heroux

WOONSOCKET - On February 10, 2024, Louise M. Heroux of Woonsocket, RI passed away and entered through the gates of Heaven. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Henry & Clara Leicht, she was the wife of Gerard A. Heroux, Sr. (deceased) and lived in Woonsocket over 70 years. After moving to Woonsocket, she was employed at Jacob Finklestein's & Sons for 30 years as a purchasing agent. After retiring, Louise attended the Community College of RI for 2 years and received her Associates Degree in Business, with honors, at the age of 70.

Attending St. James Episcopal Church for many years, Louise was the President of the St. James Senior Club and she was the former Secretary/Treasurer for the St. James Nightingale Club. She also volunteered her time assisting in the many holiday fairs, breakfasts and the church food bank that were sponsored by St. James Episcopal Church. Her hobbies were reading, knitting, sewing, arts and crafts, puzzles, coloring, and she was an avid bowler for over 50 years. Louise was a gentle and giving person dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her children: Gerard A. (Christine) Heroux, Jr. of Punta Gorda, FL, Christine C. (Raymond) Tardie of Punta Gorda, FL and Michael A. Heroux of Cumberland, RI.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great/great grandchildren.

WHEREVER A BEAUTIFUL SOUL HAS BEEN, THERE IS A TRAIL OF BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 2-4 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
