Manuel Chaves Obituary
Born in Cumberland on October 6, 1923, he was a son of the late Goncalo Henriques Chaves and Teresa Chaves.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Philip M. and Vickie Chaves of Sweeny, Texas; his sister Celeste Justa of East Providence; and his brother Goncalo Chaves of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
His wife, the late Patricia (Oliva) Chaves and his daughter, the late Claudia Chaves Corrigan preceded him in death.
His funeral will begin Saturday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Anthony's Church, 32 Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow at the Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, 5pm until 8pm. www.rebellofuneralhome.com

Uncle Manny was a special part of our lives growing up. I remember him fondly and he will be missed deeply by all that knew and loved him. Rest in peace Uncle Manny.
