Marion T. Grourke

Marion T. Grourke, 96, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Edwin Grourke. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Winifred (Callahan) Sullivan. Marion was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. She was a member of the Saint Teresa Seniors and a member of the Saint Teresa Church knitting club. She also volunteered in the rectory as a money counter for many years.
Marion is survived by her son, Edward "Ted" Grourke, and 6 grandchildren, Robert Grourke, Linda Ferrill, Anthony Grourke, Vincent Grourke, Ashley Hogan, and Andrew Bator. She also leaves her neighbor and good friend, Clara Geswein. She was the mother of the late Daniel Grourke, and Maryann Bator, and sister of the late Patrick, John, Edward, Jeremiah , William, and Michael Sullivan, Catherine Clark, Roseann Sullivan, and Mae Quinton.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9am from the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
