Michael Bergeron Obituary
Like his dad, Michael was a dedicated officer for the Pawtucket Police Department. He joined the force in 1975 and retired in 1999, and his career included leading the department's Special Squad. Michael earned an associate's degree in criminal justice from what is now Bryant University, Smithfield.
In addition, Michael was a talented craftsman, especially when it came to woodworking and constructing or remodeling living spaces. He completed several projects in Greater Pawtucket and frequently assisted friends and family members with home improvement work.
Michael is survived by his domestic partner of many years, Marcia Siniak; a daughter, Brooke Bergeron and her finance Ben Chamberlain; a son, Michael Bergeron and his wife Leslie; two sisters, Joanne and her husband Kevin Massey and Christine and her husband Robert Difilippo; two brothers, Kevin Bergeron and his wife Denise and Patrick Bergeron and his wife Patricia; a granddaughter, Emersyn Leigh; and several nieces and nephews. He also is survived by his loyal four-legged companion Buddy.
Donations can be made in Michael's memory to the Rhode Island SPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI, 02915; or the Pawtucket Animal Shelter, 401 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI, 02861.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, East Providence, and are private. However, condolences can be expressed by going online to pawtuckettimes.com or rebellofuneralhome.com.

Just left the beach and lifeguard chair. Wish you were here with me. Your advice with wisdom is now more invaluable and more precious than ever in so many respects.
Now, so you can laugh at me, I had no "Zebra blanket" nor sunscreen! You were correct, caught a nasty sunburn, "silly Irish girly girl!"
Wish I could enjoy your tanned bronzed body without failure.

Dear Michael,
I miss you more every single day. Never will I hear "Hey, girly, girl?" Nor will I ever hear "Love and hugs, be safe!" Never, is that not more true.
Naturally, I remember your confidence and security. "Never be afraid!"

I accidentally found out about Michael's untimely passing. I know the family will miss his greatly. He was a huge presence and personality, in many people's lives. Dear Bergeron family:
Michael and I were friends since 1979 from the AG's office up until the present when the phone stopped ringing. Even with his health declining, we still spoke weekly, not out of obligation, rather out of true friendship that lasted decades. Michael loved South Carolina and brought Sprout down too, whereby he relaxed and enjoyed a slower pace.
Naturally, he was going to bring Buddy too on his next vacation, God got him first.
For all FOP, he was "Tidy 1 and I was Tidy 2"
No doubt, I will never forget Michael, ever!

I'm so sorry to hear about Michael. My name is Patricia (Williams) Carroll. I went to Sacred Heart Elementary with him. He was always such a nice guy. Always had a smile for everyone. Over the years I've bumped into him at exciting places like Stop&Shop, or Walt's Roast Beef! He always took the time to stop and talk about what,s going on in our lives. He really loved his kids!
