Nancy George Obituary

CUMBERLAND
Nancy M. (Sabatini) George, 74, of Cumberland, passed away Friday at the Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Louis T. George Sr.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Reno and Mildred (Oldrid) Sabatini. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.
Mrs. George was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Pawtucket Memorial Hospital for over 30 years until her retirement.
She loved to attend BINGO, trips to the casino, but most of all loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves her children, Louis T. George Jr. and his wife Louise of Cumberland, Glenn R. George of Cumberland, and Kimberly M. Gois and her husband Angelo of Cumberland; her siblings, Shirley Martel of Woonsocket, Linda Gardner of North Providence, Donna Gouin of North Smithfield, and Richard Sabatini of Pawtucket; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her very special niece and friend, Laurie Laporte. She was the mother of the late Debra Ann George, mother-in-law of the late Elaine S. George, sister of the late Reno Sabatini, Lillian Jaroma-Hughes, Ronald Sabatini, Marilyn Hoyer, Mary Goyette, William Sabatini, and Thomas Sabatini.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday from 4 to 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, RI Chapter, 146 Clifford St Ste 1, Providence, RI 02903.
