Nicholas Dumont Obituary
Nick was the beloved boyfriend of Julia Arcisz of Pawtucket and a 2009 graduate of Tolman High School. He was an active and proud member of the RI Army National Guard, B Battery, 1st Battalion of the 103rd Field Artillery, having served in Iraq.
Nick worked for MAS Building & Bridge, Inc., Norfolk, Mass., for the past several years. He loved participating in all sports, he especially enjoyed snowboarding and paintballing. Nick had a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. He touched the lives of all he knew and will be in the hearts and minds of his family and dear friends.
Besides his parents, brothers and girlfriend, Nick leaves his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Pires of Cumberland; paternal grandmother, Doris Dumont of Plainville, Mass.; a niece, Bryanna Turner, and a nephew, John Turner, III. He also leaves many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Flowers are kindly omitted. Memorial gifts to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675 will be appreciated.

Rip Nick and you will always be remembered but never forgotten. I knew you since the first grade at Curtis School Elementary til we all graduated from high school. My heart goes out to Annette, Don, Julia, Evie, Johnny, Kyle, Denise, Ray, Leo, Sherry (Lynn), Chantelle, Chris, Justin, Haley and Breana (and others in family as too long to mention here). But I know there is not anything I can say here to ease the pain of the loss of Nick ... a beloved son, grandson, nephew, brother, boyfriend and friend.
Instead, I will share a "Nick" story. Yesterday, Elliott and I went for a ride and while driving through Slater Park Elliott shared a memory. He, Nick and another friend were very hungry while in Slater Park and decided to get some food at the snack bar. As they began to eat, a couple sat down that for some reason spoiled Nick's appetite. Elliott said even though Nick was starving, he ever so slowly put his sandwich back on his plate and in a low, soft voice said "I'm done." For the first time since Friday, Elliott and I were able to have a brief laugh, a laugh with Nick.
I, for one, will miss Nick's shy, boyish smile ... and I was proud to be his (adopted) Aunt Debbie.
