Richard Fleming Obituary
29, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester.
Richard was a retired police officer for the Town of Sherborn, Mass. for 10 years before his retirement in 2009. He had previously been a police officer for the Town of Hopkinton for 10 years. He was born Aug. 12, 1956 in Boston the son of Barbara J. (Duty) Fleming of Millville and the late Richard A. Fleming Sr. Richard had been a resident of Providence for 12 years.
He was a graduate of Hopkinton High School, Class of 1976, and Dean College in Franklin, Class of 1978, where he earned his degree in Criminal Law.
Richard loved his children and enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He was especially fond of his dog, Duke. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his partner of 13 years, Gary, his children, Ryan and Kayle Fleming, both of Attleboro, his brother, Michael Fleming of Millville and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, David Fleming.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Sat. June 13, at 11 a.m. in St. Augustine's Church, 17 Lincoln St., Millville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, Mass., 02130. Arrangements are under the direction of the Buma Funeral Home, Uxbridge. bumafuneralhome.com

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you Barbra. I have thought of you and your sons many times over the years wondering where you were. I remember your sons as pre-teens growing up in Boston. It is a tragedy when a mother has to bury her child. May Richard rest in peace and love.
