Robert Carpenter Obituary
Mr. Carpenter was born in Providence, the son of the late George Carpenter and Elizabeth F. (Tierney) Carpenter.
Bob graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1972. He then enrolled in the United States Navy where he honorably served his Country during the Vietnam War.
Besides his wife Mary, Bob is survived by his children; James P. Carpenter of Kentucky, Kathleen Birchall of Pawtucket, Thomas Carpenter and his wife Virginia of Kentucky and William J. Carpenter and his wife Kelly Ann of Georgia. He is also survived by his brother Michael Carpenter and his wife Beverly, his sisters, Patricia Rodriques, Susan Allenson and her husband Richard and JoAnne Esposito. He also leaves his six grandchildren, Ian, Robert, Dylan, Amber Grace, Jacob and Michael.
There will be a funeral service for Mr. Carpenter on Thursday, July 26th at 10:00 am in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. His calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.

I will always think of Coach Carpenter with great fondness and reverence. He taught me how to be a better competitor, to try my best and never give up. He inspired many young ball players and I appreciated playing baseball with Bill and Tom. They were some of the best days of my youth. He will be missed.
