Robert L. Cournoyer

WOONSOCKET - Robert L. Cournoyer 80, of Campeau St. died February 29, 2016 at Home and Hospice Care of RI. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Laquerre) Cournoyer. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Brouillard) Cournoyer. Robert was a supervisor for Union Concrete for many years before retiring in 1998. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Robert is survived by a son, John Cournoyer, and three daughters, Diane Dubeau, Gina Knipfing, and Donna Forrest all of Woonsocket, three sisters Doris Belanger of Nasonville, Laurette Auclair of Woonsocket, and Laurene Demaire of Cumberland, ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Cournoyer and a sister, Rita Brodeur.
His funeral will be held Monday with visitation from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
