Robert D. "Bob" McNaul Jr.

1957 - 2016

ROANOKE, VA - Robert D. "Bob" McNaul, Jr., 58, of Roanoke, VA passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Born in Woonsocket, RI on October 1, 1957, Bob is the beloved son of Robert D. and Sarah M. "Sally" (Tague) McNaul. Sr. of Bellingham, MA. He is the father of Ashley Dunagan and her fiancé, Kevin of Roanoke, VA and Melissa Ambrose and her husband, Michael of California, and leaves his three grandchildren, Dakota, Landon, and Ashlyn and late granddaughter Savannah Carol Dunagan-Holland. He is the brother of Cheryl A. Drainville of Bellingham, MA and the late David W. McNaul. Bob also leaves his special friend Tina, and a special friend and caretaker, Melissa Barnes and many other friends.
Bob was a resident a Roanoke, VA formerly of Bellingham, MA and was a graduate of Blackstone Valley Tech Class of 1975.
Bob was a United States Marine Corps Veteran attaining the rank of Master Sergeant serving from January 1975 - January 1998. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Letter of Appreciation, Certificate of Appreciation, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge, and Humanitarian Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal.
Bob was a talented furniture maker. He was an avid sports fan of the Bruins and Patriots. Devoted to his family, Bob will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Monday, June 27th at 8:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St., Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Brendan's Church, 384 Hartford Ave., Bellingham. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Sunday, June 26th from 5PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
