Robert E. Morse

CUMBERLAND - Robert E. Morse, 81, of Cumberland passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Mt. St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland. He was the husband of Sandra (Syintsakos) Morse for the past 45 years.
Born in Attleboro, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Lillian G. (Walton) Morse. He resided in Cumberland for the past 45 years, previously residing in Rehoboth.
He was an active duty soldier of the United States Navy, serving from 1954-1958.
Mr. Morse was employed as an HVAC expert for Texas Instruments for over 22 years.
Robert was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He was also a skilled craftsman, carpenter, mason and earlier in his life he enjoyed skiing, motorcycling, gardening, cooking and diving.
Besides his beloved wife, he leaves children Lori Morse of South Attleboro, Todd Smith of Cumberland, Dawn Marszalkowski of Vergennes, VT, Wendy Joyce of Wrentham, Keri Smith of Cumberland, Lisa Armstrong of Cumberland and Heather Keefe of Easton; sister Marilyn Turner of Attleboro; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Mark Morse and brother of the late Mildred Nardini and Arthur Morse.
A celebration of his life will begin Friday at 9 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland, followed by a prayer service at 10 AM. A graveside committal with military honors will follow at the Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth.
