BLACKSTONE - Robert K. Taylor, 70, of Blackstone, MA passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Landmark Medical Center after being stricken at home.
He was the beloved husband for 48 years of Virginia S. (Esteves) Taylor. Born in New Bedford, MA on April 28, 1947, he was the son of the late Kilian R. Taylor and Claire A. (Caron) Philip. He was the loving father of Scott K. Taylor of Woonsocket, RI and Chrystal Chico and her partner, Brad Letourneau of Blackstone, MA. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Bethany Dolbec and her fiancé, Cameron O'Neil, Stephanie Taylor, Christopher Chico, Benjamin Chico and great-grandchildren Abigail, Marya, Conor and Julianna. He was the brother of Steve Taylor of Fairhaven, MA and the late Ronald Taylor.
A resident of Blackstone for 40 years formerly of New Bedford, MA, Robert worked as a computer technician at Digital Corporation in Hudson, MA for many years until retiring. Previously, he worked at General Dynamics in Quincy, MA until their closing.
He was a United States Marine Corps Vietnam War Veteran having served two and a half tours.
He enjoyed astronomy, reading, studying the Bible and was an avid fisherman. His greatest joy was being with his family, Robert will be greatly missed.
