Robert F. Taylor

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Robert F. Taylor, 78, of Mowry Ave., died September 12, 2015 in Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Baker) Taylor whom he married June 27, 1970. Born in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Pearl (Frye) Taylor.
A 1954 graduate of Woonsocket High School, Mr. Taylor worked as a Mechanical Designer for Raytheon in the Submarine Signal Division for forty-five years, retiring in 2005. He was a Past Master of the Blackstone River Masonic Lodge and current member of the Montgomery Masonic Lodge, Milford. Robert served as an EMT for the North Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department, an amateur radio operator with the call sign W1DSG, a former RI State Director for the Air Force MARS and a former Shriner.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; Geoffrey Taylor of Cabot, AR and Raymond Taylor of North Smithfield, one sister, Elizabeth Afkari of East Stroudsburg, PA and two grandchildren; John William and Katherine Anne Taylor.
