Robert J. Vilandre

WOONSOCKET - Robert J. Vilandre, 76, of Woonsocket died Monday, August 17, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the loving husband of Therese Y. "Terry" (Benoit) Vilandre.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Bruno and Irene (Petrin) Vilandre, he had lived in Woonsocket for the past 19 years.
Mr. Vilandre was a mechanic at Seville Dye in Woonsocket and had also worked for the Town of Canaan, NH for 8 years.
He especially loved his family and he also loved fishing, camping, boating and NASCAR.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two loving daughters, Nichole Vilandre of Cumberland and Marie Lara of Woonsocket; one sister, Lorraine Vilandre of Cumberland; two brothers, Raymond and Ronald Vilandre, both of Woonsocket; his beloved grandson, Korey Rodriguez; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Roger Vilandre, Lucille Desmarais, Lucien Vilandre and Constance Vilandre.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 24 at 11 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will be private.
