St. Albans/Burlington – Gordon George Vilandre, age 86, passed away on Friday March 7, 2025, at Franklin County Rehab with his loving family by his side.
Gordon was an only child, born to the late Joseph and Mildred (Mullen) Vilandre on January 9, 1939, in Southbridge Massachusetts.
Gordon served his country, enlisting into the United States Navy after finishing high school, he was enlisted on December 4, 1959, and was honorably discharged on August 29, 1962. Gordon was proud to have a lifelong career at COTS helping serve the Burlington community for over 20 years.
Known for his fun-loving spirit and the love of his children and grandchildren. He always wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of. Gordon brought laughter and joy to everyone around him. His quick wit humor was a hallmark of his personality making him a beloved figure among friends and family alike. His passion for sports was evident; he was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, often sharing his love for these teams with others.
He leaves behind his daughters; Georgiana (Eric) Halbach, Kimberly (Carl) Sears, and his beloved grandchildren; Blake Halbach, Molly Halbach, Brianna Rutherford, Joshua Smolak, Dylan O'Hara as well as many friends he made over the years.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents; Joseph and Mildred (Mullen) Vilandre and grandparents, Edmond and Georgianna (Lacasse) Vilandre.

At this time there are no services scheduled, there will be a graveside service with military honors to be announced this spring at the St. Albans Bay Cemetery.
