Roger Oscar "Lefty" Lefebvre

WOONSOCKET - Our world just got a little smaller; Our dad passed away. He's now with his sweetheart Joann, the love of his life forever after. He was the salt of the earth type of guy who did what he said and you never doubted his word. They broke the mold when they made him and his rock-solid character was as dependable as the rising sun. He lived for his family and was affectionately known as Mr. Fix-it to his grandkids because he was the first person we called. He always appeared with his tools loaded in the truck ready to fix the whatever needed fixing. He played golf (who know), fished with family, and loved to watch his Bruins and Patriots sporting events. We cannot forget his trips to the Connecticut casinos with mom in tow, to get his share of biscuits and gravy. His intrepid spirit lead to always eagerly anticipate the opportunities to cruises, continue to ride water slides into his seventies, including roller coasters at Six Flags, the great water slide plunge in Atlantis (at age 77) and the Tower of Terror in Disney (at 78 years young) and had plans this summer. He spent a short stent in the Air Force in Texas, but he missed Rhode Island and family too much. When he returned, he met the love of his life and soon married his wife Joann. He spent the bulk of his working career as a machinist at Whitin Machine Works in Whitinsville Massachusetts before finally retiring at Sousa and Demayo. He leaves behind many happy memories with family and friends to make us smile and warm our hearts.
He precedes his wife Joann, his parents Oscar and Delphine Lefebvre and his brother Bobby. He leaves behind his three daughters; Lesa, Tina and Dawn who will miss him dearly. He also leaves behind two sons in laws Steve and Jerry. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Ryan, Jared, Samantha and Justin. Furthermore, he leaves his brother Frankie and his three sisters in laws Connie, Theresa and Georgette.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2017 at 9 AM from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church 415 Olo St. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA.
