Ronald LeMay Obituary

WOONSOCKET - Ronald A. LeMay, 78, of East School Street and formerly of Follett Street, North Smithfield, passed away May 26, 2017, in Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Centre. He was the husband of over 50 years of the late Rita J. (Kelleter) LeMay. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late George and Irene (Gauthier) LeMay.

An Air Force veteran, Mr. LeMay worked as a sales representative for Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1997. Fondly known as "Pops," Ron was a former member of the Elks, loved to travel and enjoyed golfing at Blissful Meadows, Uxbridge.
He is survived by three sons, Ronald G. LeMay of Burrillville, Thomas LeMay of Foster and Michael Welch of North Smithfield; a daughter, Arline Bernier of Blackstone; three brothers, George LeMay of Canada, Paul LeMay of Montana and James LeMay of Burrillville; a sister, Patricia Boucher of Burrillville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Michelle LeMay and Christine Poirier, as well as, the brother of the late Robert LeMay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone. Calling hours are Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. www.holtfuneralhome.com
