Rose M. Lambert

1922 - 2016

UXBRIDGE - Rose M. Lambert, 93, formerly of Uxbridge, MA, died peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2016, in Sanford, NC. Mrs. Lambert was born in Northbridge, MA, the daughter of the late Hormidas and Florida Bousquet and lived in Brattleboro, VT, for many years, later settling in Uxbridge, MA for several decades, before moving with her daughters to Sanford, NC.
She leaves her children, Lorna Lacasse and her husband, Robert, of Sanford, NC, and Pamela Garron and her husband Donald, also of Sanford, NC. Mrs. Lambert was first married to Gerald Reynolds of Brattleboro, VT, who was a casualty of war during World War II in the Aleutian Islands, and later the wife of the late William A. Lambert, Jr., of Uxbridge, MA. She was predeceased by nine siblings. She leaves many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lambert was a hairdresser for many years in Uxbridge at the former Paul's Beauty Shop and The Beauty Chalet, and in Northbridge at La Parisienne. She was very active in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Linwood, MA, as a communicant, the church's first parish representative, and as the President of the Society of St. Anne. Mrs. Lambert started the first Girl Scout Troop at the Good Shepherd School and Church. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed singing with the former Messengers of Uxbridge, MA. She was a member of the Uxbridge Senior Citizen's Club where she enjoyed her daily lunches and mingling with other Uxbridgeites. In July, 2005, Mrs. Lambert was cited by the Uxbridge Board of Selectmen for her New England spirit of resourcefulness, independence, tenacity, community volunteerism, and family mindedness.
Besides her daughters, Mrs. Lambert leaves four grandchildren, Janet English and her husband, Jon, of Siler City, NC, Greg Beauchamp and his wife, Dana, of Douglas, MA, Sandra Galindo and her husband, Rafael, of Humble, TX, and Christopher Lacasse and his wife, Ali, of Holly Springs, NC. She also leaves 14 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Linwood, MA with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Brattleboro, VT at the family's convenience in April, 2016.
