Ruby Dandy Obituary
She was the wife of the late John H. Dandy. Born in Manning, South Carolina, daughter of the late Clara Belle (Giles) Jackson. Ruby worked as a Presser for the former Commodore Cleaners in Woonsocket for several years prior to retiring. Ruby enjoyed going out to eat with her son Brian and was a person who liked to have fun with family and friends. She was an avid bowler.
She is survived by her loving son Brian Dandy of Woonsocket, her 1st cousin Evelyn Scurry of Woonsocket, two sisters, Gail Johnson and Mona DeChristoforo, both of Woonsocket. and a host of aunts, cousins nieces, and nephews.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at 11 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield, RI. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Monday from 5-7 PM.

So sad to learn of Mrs. Dandy's passing.She was a lady filled with joy.She was a woman who would help and offer empathy and kindness when one needed it. i shall keep the gift of her acquaintance in my heart forever.My children still remember her from the time we lived in Woonsocket. May God bless her and your family during this sad time.

Mrs. Dandy took it upon herself to help my mother when she broke her leg in the mid-1960s while residing in Woonsocket. Our family never forgot her thoughtfulness. We offer our sincerest sympathies.

Sorry for your loss, my sincere condolences. Your mother was the best. She always came into Lil General On Manville Road for many years that I worked there. She even had a nickname for me and another employee, Mary Lou & Mary Jane. She always made out day when she came in. She will be greatly missed.
