Ruth Powell Obituary
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Hazel F. (Readett) Powell, she had been a longtime resident of the city, before moving to Warwick.
Miss Powell worked as a file clerk at the former Grace Holmes, Inc., Berkeley, retiring in 1972. Upon her retirement, she volunteered for many years at the Adams Public Library, Central Falls. She was a former member of Saint George's Episcopal Church, Central Falls.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Hazel Genest and Joan Boucher.
Her funeral and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, R.I. 02915 would be appreciated. For online guest book, please visit www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com.
