Simone Juliette Moore

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Simone J. (Marcotte) Moore, 74, of North Smithfield, passed March 2, 2023 in her home. She was the wife of John J. Moore, whom she married November 10, 1974.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe (Alphee) and Rita (Archambeault) Marcotte.

Simone was a graduate of CCRI, and worked as a former x-ray/mammography technician for Landmark Medical Center for over 30 years, and later worked for Fogarty Hospital until their closing. She loved fishing, especially at The Island, and was an avid Pitch player.

Besides her husband, John, she leaves their daughters, Michelle (Moore) Amadei of Monson, MA and Jennifer (Moore) Hall and her husband, Shane, of Johnston; her sister, Dee Marcotte of Smithfield; three grandchildren, Emily Amadei, and Olivia and Bennett Hall; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Lucie Peloquin and Rita Papa.

Her visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 10 AM - Noon, followed by a service at Noon in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
