Theresa M. (Bertrand) Simpson

BURRILLVILLE - Theresa M. (Bertrand) Simpson, 97, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at home in Pascoag, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Samuel B. Simpson. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Fabiola (Desrosiers) Bertrand.

Theresa was a 1945 graduate of Burrillville High School. Through the years, she was very involved in her parish, St. Joseph's Church, as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and Communicant. She was a member of St. Joseph's Inter-Parish Seniors and of the former Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a volunteer at Overlook Nursing Home and Nicole Manor for many years.

Theresa was cherished by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves behind her children: Michael Simpson of Harrisville, Bradford Simpson of Lincoln, Scott Simpson of Pascoag and Pamela Ethier of Harmony and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel and her brother, J. Gerald Bertrand.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Theresa on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag Main St., Burrillville. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave., Pascoag, RI 02859
