Therese Boucher Obituary

WOONSOCKET - Therese (Terry) Y. Boucher, 90, of Woonsocket, R.I. died peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

An accomplished lifelong artist, a serious collector of African, Asian, and Latin American folk art, and a lover of all things beautiful, Terry delighted in delicious food, gave spectacularly witty commentary, read voraciously, was abundantly curious, and always willing to be delighted, and made deep, lasting friendships by being both the sharply intelligent life of the party and a brilliant active listener. She will be missed, and memories of her will provide holiday anecdotes for many years to come.

She was the daughter of Armand and Jeannette (Vanasse) Plante; wife of the late Leo Boucher; mother of Janet Higgins, Patricia Buettow, Michael Boucher, and the late Thomas Boucher; grandmother of Crystal Jenkins, Erin Boucher, Anna Pool, and Jason Boucher; and great-grandmother of Fiona Pool.

The family will hold a private celebration of life.

Memere, I couldn't have asked for a better grandmother. You were always so kind and loving and supportive of me. I loved how witty all our phone conversations were. We laughed together every time we talked. Every year I looked forward to visiting you in Rhode Island. I'm forever grateful that you got to meet my daughter, Fiona, your great granddaughter. You are so loved. I'll miss you.

Terry and I shared a love of African and indigenous art which brought us together often. Her visits were great and appreciated. Leo would add to the humor in the earlier days.
She was an amazing woman.
