RIVERIA BEACH, FL - Therese (Desjarlais) Lefebvre, 88, of Riveria Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Vitas Hospice in Delray Beach, FL. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of Raymond A. Lefebvre and the late Roger Ferland. Born in Woonsocket, RI on October 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Clarinda (Cartier) Desjarlais. She was the sister of Rose Jalbert and Simone Ferland both of Woonsocket, RI, Omer Desjarlais of St. Cloud, FL and the late Roland Desjarlais, Gerard Desjarlais, Cecile Jalbert, and Doris Desjarlais. She leaves her cherished nieces and nephews.
Therese was a resident of Riveria Beach, FL since 1989, formerly of Grafton, NH and Woonsocket, RI where she was raised. She worked as a finish inspector at the Dorr Woolen Mills, in Newport, NH for many years until retiring in 1988, and previously worked at the French Worsted Mill, Woonsocket, RI for many years until moving to New Hampshire. She was a communicant and an active member of St. Helenas Church of Enfield, NH and St. Francis of Assisi Church of Riveria Beach, FL. She was a communicant and member of the Ladies of St. Ann of St. Joseph Church, Woonsocket, RI.
Therese was loving, giving and devoted to her family and friends, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 9:30AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI. Interment will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket, RI.
