Therese A. "Terry" Roux

Therese A. Roux (Terry) age 85, of New Port Richey, Florida. Formerly from Woonsocket, RI and Bellingham, MA. Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died unexpectedly November 12, 2021.
Terry was born in Woonsocket, RI, daughter of the late Henry and Dolores Plante. She moved to Florida 32 years ago with her late husband Eugene Roux. Together they raised 3 children. Terry worked at Narragansett Knitting Mills as a seamstress and then as a medical secretary and finally as a seamstress in a bridal salon. She enjoyed sewing, shopping and shoes. She was faithful to her religion and frequented Sunday mass. She was a mentor, advisor, and enjoyed counseling others.
She was a devoted mother to her children and spouses. Daughter, Susan and husband Ron Nelson of North Reading, MA. Son, Dr. Richard and wife Muriel Roux of North Carolina. She was predeceased by her son David, her brother Marcel and baby sister Rita Plante.
She is the proud grandmother of Erica and Nicole Nelson, Liana and Jessica Roux and great-grandmother to Felix Riddle-Roux.
Terry is also survived by her loving sister Alice Dupre of Woonsocket, RI., and goddaughter Debra Riekstins, of Wilmington, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to Chapters Health System (chaptershealth.org)
A Funeral Mass will on Saturday January 8, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Theresa's Church, North Reading, MA.
