Thomas Lee Obituary

BLACKSTONE - Thomas F. Lee, Jr., 76, of Summer Street, died January 21, 2016, at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Margaret J. (Kennedy) Lee whom he married December 28, 1963. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Thomas, Sr. and Ethel (Powers) Lee.
Tom graduated from Blackstone High School, then served in the U.S. Army. He worked for 32 years as a letter carrier in Blackstone for the U.S. Postal Service, and was a retired member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Tom was a former member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, a member of the Men's Club of St. Paul's Church, Blackstone and coached Bucky Lee Farm and Little League teams in Blackstone as part of the league that his grandfather founded. He was a lifelong fan of the Red Sox, the Patriots, and the Celtics, and enjoyed spending his retirement years with family, friends, and his grandsons.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Terrence Lee of Oakland, CA and Thomas Lee, III of Blackstone, MA; a daughter, Colleen Folster and her husband Jeremy of Blackstone; a sister, Maryellen Carpenter and her husband David of California; and two grandsons, Brady and Brendan Folster. He was the brother of the late Edward J. Lee.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Saint Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of Thomas F.
