Thomas Malloy Obituary
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Thomas H. and Mary A. (Geddes) Malloy. Mr. Malloy was a lifelong resident of Cumberland and Cape Cod.
He was a communicant of the Historic St. Joseph Church, Cumberland.
He has been President of T.H. Malloy & Sons Energy, Cumberland, RI for the past 55 years. Recently Tom was inducted into the New England Fuel Institute Legends of Oil Heat. He will be honored in June of this year.
Beside his wife he is survived by his son Thomas J. Malloy and grandsons Tommy and Jack Malloy of Cumberland; son James J. Malloy, his wife Erin Malloy, and grandchildren Wyatt and Kaya Malloy of Marshfield, VT; and son Brett A. Malloy, his wife Maryellen Malloy, and grand-daughter EllaMae Malloy of Cumberland. He is also survived by two sisters Anne Mansi of South Dennis, MA, and Frances Gallella of Cumberland, a brother William Malloy of Cumberland and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the Historic St. Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road Cumberland, RI. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland, RI.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 PM to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Philip Hulitar Inpatient Unit, 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI 02908. When I think of Tom, the word kindness comes to mind. When he and Joan were dating, he was so nice to me-the little girl next door-MJ's chatty friend- he listened. Then I think of his kindness to my Mother, Dorothy. So sad for the loss of this good man.

So sad to hear of Tom's passing! I had the pleasure of meeting Tom at the Heart Center in Woonsocket. Our spirited conversations about all sports locally filled our time with laughter. My condolences goes out to the entire Malloy clan. RIP my friend!
