Timothy James "Tim" DeCourcey

LINEVILLE, AL - The memorial service for Timothy James "Tim" DeCourcey, age 64 of Lineville, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Lineville Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating.
Mr. DeCourcey passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Randolph County.
A Pawtucket, Rhode Island native, Tim grew up in Cumberland, R.I. but had lived in Clay County for the past five years. He had worked for a number of years as an automobile mechanic and specialized in rebuilding transmissions. Tim loved working on cars, fishing, enjoying the great outdoors, riding his bike and walking his dog "Bandit"
He is survived by his wife, Karen Sherman of Lineville; one daughter, Melissa Bates of Providence, R.I.; one son, Steven DeCourcey of Pawtucket, R.I.; one sister, Helen Williams of Merritt Island, FL; two brothers: Richard P. DeCourcey of Wedowee and John D. DeCourcey (Barbara) of Lineville; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents: John Edward DeCourcey and Mary Anne Arundel DeCourcey; one sister, Fran Hevey and one brother, Joseph A. DeCourcey.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. at Lineville Baptist Church.
