Walter Pluta Obituary
Born in Cumberland he was the son of the late Stacia Pluta. He was a life long Cumberland resident. Mr. Pluta was employed by the former Newman Crosby Steel Co., Pawtucket for many years until his retirement. He was previously an 18 year member of the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of WWII and Korea retiring with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Cumberland and a member of the former Polish White Eagles, Cumberland.
He leaves a nephew, Kevin Pluta and his wife Carolyn of North Providence.
A celebration of his life to which relatives and friends are kindly invited will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 301 Broad St., Cumberland. Burial will be private, calling hours are respectfully omitted. Guest Book:

We are so sorry to hear of Walter's passing.we do not get the Times.
Walter was a good friend of Paul's and part of the GANG that walked for many years in Lincoln Woods. He had a kind and caring soul. He will be missed.

We always felt Walter was part of our family because he and our mother, Olga , spent many days going to polka festivals and dances at the Polish Clubs. Folks would comment on how well they danced as a couple. After our mother passed, we still thought of him and phoned him on his birthday. Those memories still linger in our mind.

Sorry to hear of uncle walter's passing. I have all good memories of him. He always made it to all my relatives' services and wish I could have attended his.

Uncle Walter was a kind man who was a great dancer. He was a wonderful son to his mother and always such a positive person. May he rest in peace.
