William C. ""Billy"" Delaney

1975 - 2023

William C. "Billy" Delaney. 48, of Blackstone, MA, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Brockton, MA from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Billy was the beloved husband for 17 years of Stefanie L. (Dahill) Delaney and the loving father of Owen F. Delaney and Julia E. Delaney.
Born in Newton, MA on July 3, 1975, Billy is predeceasd by his father Francis X. Delaney. Billy is survived by his mother, Margaret "Peggy" E. (Laffan) Delaney of Englewood, FL, sister, Caroline Verity and husband, Ryan, nephew and godson Eamon of Braintree, MA; brother, John R. Delaney and wife, Kristen, as well as, nephew John F. and niece Sophia G. of Mt. Sinai, NY. Also survived by sister-in-law Allison Gadoury, niece Ava, nephew RJ of Medway, MA; brother-in-law Matthew Dahill and wife Nary and nephew Liam of Chicopee, MA. He leaves his mother-in-law Lisa (Ostrowski) Lastoria and husband, Michael of Blackstone, MA and father-in-law Richard A. Dahill and wife, Ying of Medway, MA. Billy leaves many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Billy was a resident of Blackstone, formerly of Milton. He graduated from Blue Hills Technical High School High School Class of 1994. He was a Correction Officer at the Suffolk County House of Correction in Boston. His passion was playing the bagpipes as a proud member of the Boston Police Gaelic Column. He loved his band members like family. Devoted to his family and friends, Billy will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 12th at the Divine Mercy Church, 48 St. Paul Street, Blackstone, MA from 4:30PM to 8:00PM.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 13th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at Divine Mercy Church, 48 St. Paul Street, Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Blackstone. In lieu of flowers donations for a scholarship fund for his children may be sent to: Stefanie Delaney, 7 Chad Michael Court, Blackstone, MA 01504 would be appreciated.
