Clarence Greer Obituary

Clarence Greer Jr. was born in West Mississippi to Lillie B. Mallett and Clarence Greer Sr. Clarence was a devoted husband and father, he valued family and friendship deeply, and leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He married Paulette Smith Greer in Rockford, Illinois, on September 9, 1964. Clarence was employed at Chrysler Belvidere for 28 years before retiring. He was a proud graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. Clarence Jr. is survived by his children: Rhonda Greer Robinson, Kathy Greer Hunt, Steven Greer, Clarence Greer III (Cathy), and Dontavian Greer (Kim). He was a loving grandfather to Lashanda Williams Walker (Gabriel), Shamika Hawkins (Sidney), Brittnie Ikwuezunma (Echezona), Michael Holman Jr., Elijah Greer (Phi), Steven Greer Jr., Isaiah Greer, Ozear Hunt IIII, Ja'Ron Robinson, Clarence Greer IIII, Isis Greer, and Carl Greer. He also leaves behind seven great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Paulette Greer (2009), his parents, Clarence Greer Sr. and Lillie B. Mallett, his brother Bard Greer, and other loved ones. Clarence Jr. also leaves behind his half-siblings: Susan Morris, Marcia Guy, Shirley Pritchett, and Yvonne Davis. He was a cherished friend and family member to many, including Sarah Wade (Walter), Lemon Lowery Jr., Nite Derrick (Art), Steven Wilford (Denise) Alvin Charles, Chuck Martin (Anita), Tim Branney (Diana), Clara Chew, Felicia Jackson, and Natasha King William (Joey). His kindness, love, and spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
