George K. Skilling

George K. Skilling Sr., 78, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 9, 1947 in Nekoosa, WI, the son of Kenneth M. and Irma C. (Rice) Skilling. George married Dolores M. Fairbert on April 2, 1975 in Baraboo, WI. She predeceased him on April 12, 2022. George was a truck driver traveling. the 48 States, traveling through Canada 3 times. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bird watching, and the sunshine. George loved watching Westerns, John Wayne, "the Duke', and Wheel of Fortune. He was a Green Bay Packer fan. George loved his family and will be missed by all. Survivors include his children, Bobby (Jill) Landwehr, Lori (Kary) Bartram, Teresa (Rodney Johnson) Morga, George Skilling Jr., Terry (Tammy) Skilling, Jimmy (Felicia) Skilling, Troy (Kristy) Skilling, Kevin (Shannon) Skilling and Walter (Jen) Skilling; 25 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Mann, Linda and Judy Thicker; brother, William Rice; sisters-in-law, Delores "Dee' Skilling and Sandra Skilling; very special friend and caregiver, Virgie Tipler; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Beloit Regional Hospice especially his nurse, Shannon Zinger. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Dolores; son, David Landwehr; two grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Skilling and James "Jim" Skilling Sr.; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Mann and Lavern (Janet) Conradson; four nieces and two nephews A Funeral service for George will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Chaplain Mark Maxted officiating. Visitation of Remembrance will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Visitation will also be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
