Ingeborg Fisher Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Ingeborg M (Karl) Fisher, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, friend, co-founder, and co-owner of Crystal Precision Drilling, Inc., on September 16, 2025, at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center of Rockford, IL.
She was born on July 15, 1931, in Unterdurrbach, Wurzburg, Germany. Married to Norman Fisher on May 12, 1962, in Germany, the happy couple just celebrated their 63rd anniversary. Ingeborg and her family moved to Loves Park, IL, in the fall of 1979. She helped start Crystal Precision Drilling, Inc. in 1996, and was instrumental to its growth and success for some twenty-five years before retiring.
Ingeborg was a self-starter whose motor never stopped. In addition to running a business, she served as a volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospital. She loved to travel and took many road trips across the U.S. with her husband, Norm. Ingeborg had many other interests, including painting, calligraphy, exercise, playing the slots, and sports. Golf was a special passion, and she was a longtime member of the Elliot Thursday Women's Golf League as well as the Tuesday Morning Sinnissippi Women's Golf League.
A very gregarious, warm, and funny person, she could always light up the room. She was also a very involved grandmother and a loyal and devoted friend.
Ingeborg is survived by her husband, Norman; son, Bruce Fisher; daughter-in-law, Inae; her grandsons, Zachary and Matthew Fisher, as well as her sisters, Alma (Charlie) Green of Albany, Oregon, and Lioba Heiler of Wurzburg, Germany; and many nieces and nephews.
Ingeborg was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
A special thank you to the absolutely incredible staff of the 3rd Floor Health Center at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center and the OSF Hospice Team. There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed our family was to have their help during the final days of Ingeborg's life.
