Mickey Oldham Obituary
In Loving Memory of Mickey Truman Oldham There are people who pass through this life like the wind. Gentle yet powerful. Shaping the landscape without ever demanding to be seen. Mickey Truman Oldham was such a man. He was an absolute oak tree of a man. Strong, steady, and deeply rooted. His branches reached out to shelter his family, his friends, and anyone who needed a place to rest. Beneath his quiet shade was warmth, safety, and an unshakable love. Mickey was a man of few words, yet he carried a lifetime of stories in his heart. Tales of hard work, laughter, service, and the kind of simple wisdom that can only be earned by living a true and honest life. He was honest in a way that made you want to be better, hardworking in a way that inspired, and gentle in a way that made you feel truly seen. He was a man who served his country with pride and honor, never seeking glory, only doing what he believed was right. For more than 57 years, Mickey shared his life with his beloved wife, Bernadette "Bernie", a partnership built on trust, laughter, and a love that grew stronger with every passing year. Together, they had two children, Matthew and Charin, who knew from the very beginning what it meant to have a father whose love was unwavering. Then came the joy of being "Papa", a title he wore with quiet pride. To his four grandchildren, Dominic, Kailiannah, Kendahl, and Natalja, he was not only the best Papa they could ever ask for, but also a teacher, a storyteller, and a hero. Mickey was the rock of his family, the glue that held them together through storms and sunny days alike. His life was his gift to them. A legacy of love, loyalty, and the unspoken comfort of knowing that no matter what, he would always be there. Though the tree has fallen, its roots remain deep in the hearts of those he loved, nourishing them still. Mickey lives on through his wife Bernadette, his daughter Charin, his son in law Mark, and his cherished grandchildren Dominic, Kailiannah (Ryan), Kendahl (Emily), and Natalja along with brother Don Oldham (Kay), sister - Helen Johnson, sister in law - Connie, and a lifetime of friends who were lucky enough to stand in his shade and hear a story that they'll never forget. A man of many thoughts and very few words, when he spoke, everyone listened. Mickey is proceeded in death by his son - Matt, sister - Sharon Oldham, and brothers - Bill and Dale Oldham
