Norma Schultz Obituary

Norma Jean Schultz, 81, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit, Wisconsin. The former Norma Jean Smith was born on Tuesday, July 13, 1943, in Fayette County, West Virginia, the daughter of Rancy and Mary Elizabeth (Fisher) Smith. In the late 1960's the family moved to Beloit. On April 28, 1978, Norma married Melvin Glen Schultz in Rockford, Illinois. Melvin died on December 18, 2016. Norma worked for a few years as a nurses assistant at Alternative Health Care in Janesville, Wisconsin. She enjoyed going to and having rummage sales and flea markets. Norma attended worship services at The Overflowing Cup in Beloit for several years. She like to go out to eat, sing karaoke, having a cup of coffee over a good conversation, watching soap operas, and playing the game comeback. Norma is survived by her children, Angela Chouinard, Robert Sturgill, Jeffrey Schultz, Sheila Maustad, and Jennifer Schultz; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Bobby Smith, Clifford Smith, Mike (Juanita) Smith, Gary Smith, Patricia Smith, Sue Ayers, and Betty Hall; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; and children, Mary Sturgill, Diana Schnurr, and Mike Schultz. Visitation is 2:00 p.m. followed by a sharing of memories service at 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home, 424 Prospect Street, Beloit, Wisconsin 53511.
