Rosalie Edler Obituary

Rosalie (Weir) Edler of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025 at home after a brief illness. Born on January 7, 1933 in Clinton, Indiana, parents of George and Mary Weir. She married Lawrence Oliver Edler in 1955. Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Oliver; daughters, Mary Rose and Doris. Survivors include daughter, Sherri (Loren) Brown; daughter, Pamela (Russ) Pickering; son, Paul (Sandy) Edler; son, Robert (Julie) Edler; and daughter, Roberta (Leo) Richardson. She is also survived by the following grandchildren, Tim Edler, Cody Timmer, Jake (Julie) Davis, Jason (Shae) Edler, Mitchell (Carla) Edler, Kimberly Edler (Jessie), Krystal Edler, Jacquelyn Edler, John (Brianne) Galvin, Tara Galvin, Laurie Galvin, Holly (Ryan) Buss, Jill (Jason) Block, Scott Nelson; 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Crosspoint Church, 3215 E. State St., Rockford, IL 61108. Luncheon will be served afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Crosspoint Church. The burial will be held on another date to be determined.
