Sandra Kopp Obituary

Sandra Sue Kopp, 82, of Rockton, IL passed away March 14, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on March 1, 1943, in Rockford, IL, to her parents, Leander and Vivian (Lightheart) Epperson. She married John Kopp on July 7, 1963, and they spent many wonderful years together. Sandra dedicated 28 years of her life to Clinton Electronics, where she was known for her hard work and unwavering commitment. Beyond her professional life, Sandra was an extraordinary mother, always present at her children's sporting events, cheering them on with unmatched enthusiasm. She was their biggest fan, standing in the crowd with a heart full of pride. Sandra was also a devoted partner to John, embodying the true meaning of "partner" in every sense of the word. Her love and support were the foundation of their strong relationship. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she brought joy and warmth to her family, and her friendship was a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her. A woman of many passions, Sandra loved fishing, the Chicago Cubs, thrifting, and hunting for treasures at garage sales. Her creativity shone through her love for crocheting, and her cooking was a source of endless joy to her family-no one could ever get enough of her delicious meals. Sandra had a contagious laugh and a bright, radiant smile that could light up any room. Her family meant everything to her, and she would do anything to help others, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own. Sandra will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will never be forgotten. Survived by her husband, John Kopp; children, Tim (Shannon) Kopp and Teresa (Brian) Carter; grandchildren, Bethany, Kirsten, Eliza, and Emma Kopp; great-grandchildren, Caden, James, Colton, Ryder, Briella, Marie, Keyani, Grace, London, Rayne, Lexi, and Lynn. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, IL 61111, at 11:00 AM, with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM until time of service.
